900 Series Special Purpose Neutral Flux

Lincolnweld 960 is a low cost, general purpose flux designed to weld butt joints and both single and multiple pass fillets. It can be used for automatic and semiautomatic welding. It produces welds with good impact strength and good slag removal. 960 Flux is designed to meet AASHTO Fracture Critical Requirements.

The 960/L-61 flux/electrode combination can be used on most fillet welding applications as well as most butt welding applications with unlimited plate thickness. Where heavy scale or rust is a problem, 960/L-50 should be used. For stress relieved properties, 960/LA-71 should be used. Where weathering steel is to be welded, 960/LA-75 should be used.

Lincolnweld 960's ability to perform well on a wide variety of welding applications makes 960 particularly suitable for customers who are currently stocking separate fluxes for butt welding and fillet welding applications.

Advantage Lincoln
• Perfect for a wide variety of applications - reduce the number of fluxes in your shop.

• Over 50 years experience in flux designing and manufacturing.

• Agglomerated for consistent flux particle composition and consistent weld deposit chemistry.

• Typically, agglomerated fluxes such as 960 will have up to 30% lower flux consumption than their fused flux counterparts.

• Manufactured under quality systems certified to ISO 9001 standards.

Typical Application
• Semiautomatic or automatic welding.
Fillet welds and butt welds (unlimited plate thickness) with Lincolnweld L-61 wire.
• Steel with heavy scale or rust with Lincolnweld L-50 wire.
• Weathering steels with Lincolnweld LA-75 wire.
