Lincolnweld 880M
Package size (kg): 220
800 Series Neutral Flux
Lincolnweld 880M is recommended for welding with solid carbon steel and low alloy steel electrodes, with LincolnÆs LAC series of low alloy flux-cored electrode. It is the best choice for single arc AC welding. 880M is designed to produce the excellent mechanical properties, including CTODÆs and low temperature impacts, required on many applications. This includes the welding of HY-80 steel with Lincolnweld LA-100 electrode. For applications requiring 70,000 psi tensile strength in the stress relieved condition, 880M is NOT recommended as a high speed or general purpose welding flux for applications such as the fillet welding of carbon steel. Using electrodes containing less than 0.20% silicon with 880M may result in narrow beads, poor appearance, increased pocking and porosity.
Advantage Lincoln • Over 50 years experience in flux designing and manufacturing.
• Agglomerated for consistent flux particle composition and consistent weld deposit chemistry.
• Typically, agglomerated fluxes such as 880M will have up to 30% lower flux consumption than their fused flux counterparts.
• Manufactured under quality systems certified to ISO 9001 standards.
Typical Application • Single arc AC submerged arc welding. HY-80 steel with Lincolnweld LA-100 wire. • Use with Lincolnweld L-50, L-S3 or LA-71 wire for applications requiring 70 ksi tensile strength in the as-welded condition. • Use with Lincolnweld L-56, L-S3 or LA-71 wire for applications requiring 70 ksi tensile strength after one hour stress relief. • Not recommended as a high speed or general-purpose flux for applications such as mild steel fillet welding. • Using wires containing less than 0.20% silicon may result in narrow beads, poor appearance, increased pocking and porosity. • Note: Lincolnweld 880M flux is not sized for semiautomatic applications (Squirt). • Contact your local Lincoln Representative for pricing if the application requires special sizing applicable to semiautomatic welding.
